Please read these terms carefully before booking your Race Things experience.

Race Things provides custom-designed Amazing Race–style experiences in multiple locations including Taupō and Hamilton. Our events are designed to challenge, entertain, and bring teams together through a series of clues, tasks, and activities.
By booking with Race Things, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not proceed with your booking.
Our events are designed to run for approximately 1–3 hours, depending on the experience selected. Teams must meet the following requirements:
Team Size
Teams must fit comfortably in one vehicle. We recommend 4–5 people per team for the best experience.
Minimum & Maximum Teams
Minimum: 2 teams per group booking
Maximum: 10+ teams per group booking
Vehicle Requirements
Teams must supply their own vehicle. The vehicle must be roadworthy and insured. See section 9 for vehicle and driving rules.
All prices quoted are per team and are subject to change. Current pricing is displayed on our website and booking platform.
Deposit & Payment
Acceptance of Terms
By making a booking, submitting a deposit, or making a payment, the group representative accepts these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all participants in their team(s).
We understand that plans change. Our cancellation and rescheduling policy is as follows:

Rescheduling
If you wish to reschedule your event, please contact us as soon as possible. Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested at least 15 days before your original event date. Rescheduling requests made with less than 15 days' notice may be declined.
Add-ons
Add-ons (such as catering, photography, or special activities) are handled separately and are subject to the cancellation policies of third-party providers. Refunds for add-ons depend on the provider's terms and are not guaranteed.
Race Things may offer optional add-ons such as catering, professional photography, or additional activities. Please note:
Race Things events run rain or shine. Our experiences are designed to be enjoyable in all weather conditions. However:
Participation in Race Things events involves physical activity and inherent risks. Please read this section carefully.
Fitness Requirements
Our events require a medium to high level of fitness. Participants should be comfortable with walking, running, climbing, and other physical activities. If you have any health conditions or concerns, please consult with a medical professional before participating.
Medical Clearance
If you have a medical condition, injury, or disability that may affect your ability to participate safely, we recommend obtaining medical clearance from your doctor before attending.
Assumption of Risk
Participants take part in Race Things events at their own risk. Race Things is not responsible for:
First Aid
A basic first aid kit is available during events. However, Race Things staff are not qualified paramedics, and emergency services will be called if serious injury occurs.
If alcohol is served during your event (e.g., at a licensed venue), the following rules apply:

Driver Requirements
Road Rules
All teams must obey all New Zealand road rules and traffic laws at all times during the event. This includes speed limits, traffic signals, and parking regulations.
Fines & Infringements
Race Things is not responsible for any fines, parking tickets, traffic infringements, or other penalties incurred by your team during the event. Your team is solely responsible for all driving-related costs and legal consequences.
Vehicle Insurance
Your vehicle must be insured and roadworthy. Race Things is not responsible for vehicle damage, breakdowns, or accidents.
Race Things may take photos and videos during your event for promotional and marketing purposes. By participating, you grant us permission to:
Opt-Out
If you do not wish to be photographed or have your image used for promotional purposes, please submit a written request to Race Things before your event. We will make reasonable efforts to respect your request, but cannot guarantee exclusion from all photos or videos taken during the event.
All race designs, clues, challenges, materials, and intellectual property created by Race Things remain the exclusive property of Race Things.
You may not:
Violation of these intellectual property rights may result in legal action.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Race Things and its staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation in our events, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of enjoyment, or reputational harm.
Race Things reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued participation in our events following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
